Even my medicines have medicines!
I’ve finally done it! I have reached the milestone of 20 medications, vitamins, supplements, etc… That I need as a result of my RA. Yuck!
This is not a milestone I am proud of, but rather, one that saddens me.
A couple meds are for the RA directly; a few are for pain. But, the majority of things I take/use on a regular basis are necessary because of the side-effects caused by a few medications. Then, the meds I take to control the side effects of cause their own set of side effects, causing more meds to be taken for the latter set of side-effects. It just feels as if it is never-ending. 🙁
Ok. Enough complaining for me for now…

Getting caught up on rest?
Overdid it :(

My mom needed me, so I flew from SC to NJ. But….. Thursday was a busy day & I didn’t get a nap. Not getting the appropriate amount of rest can aggravate my amount of pain. [Read more…]
Why share my struggles & triumphs online?

RA sufferers, as well as others with systemic, chronic pain and immune system disorders often suffer silently. They don’t really look sick, although inside, their joints may feel like they are on fire. They appear to be normal for their ages, but cannot do everything they used to.
Instead of compassion for the exhaustion however, many are called lazy.
